The Scottish west coast town of Oban is home to over 800 students and a number of Higher Education campuses, including the Scottish Association for Marine Science (SAMS), and Argyll College UHI, which along with SAMS is a partner of the University of the Highlands and Islands.

There’s a big difference between having these great places to study and Oban developing into a thriving university town. So what needs to happen?
